I couldn't have asked for a much better day to hunt, and the resulting finds weren't bad either. The weather was bright and sunny...65 degrees. I was comfy in a t-shirt!! Went out for about 2.5 hours today to a colonial field in Suffolk where I've had plenty of success in the past. Today that success continued. The day started off great when the first good signal I dug(12-34) turned up a nice 1/4 cut Phillip V 2 Reale. Got the first half of the date 17??. Should be early. Anywhere from 1700-1746 if I did my research right. Followed that up with a nice 1926 standing liberty quarter. Only the third one I've dug. I love seeing those come out of the hole! Also dug a no date wheat, 1880 Indian and a 1925-D wheat. The holed silver coin was dug on yesterday's hunt. It's dime sized...Could be a worn dime, or possibly a Spanish half Reale. All in all it was great day and I'm anxious to get back out there.
Happy Hunting!!!
