I did a short hunt with my buddy today. We didnt find much in artifacts but he did find a nice pottery rim. When we were leaving he says oh I wanted to give you something before you leave. I said ok if you like :icon_scratch:. He says here take this I have so much already and I really dont know who else to give it to. I grabbed the bag and it weighs at least 50lbs. I looked inside and it is full of pottery shards. Thanks buddy!
I did find these today with a old wagon wheel which is made from metal. The wheel was very heavy so it is still out there for safe keeping for now. Thanks, rock

Makes me wonder about the horse! I threaten mine with the glue factory all the time :) Hoping to get out this evening to hunt. The rain we got Friday night flooded the creek and made it a raging river. All our rocks beds have been under several feet of water the past few days. Hoping we can get down there tonight. Anxious to see how much the floor has changed. A tree was down last weekend which altered the flow and caused another area to wash away. Glad we found those two points before the flood!

Sounds good, it takes a good week to hunt the creek after a hard rain here. We got rain but it just didnt rain hard just a drizzle most of the day.
I did get good news today though. The chicken stuff got put in the field and it got a good disc just before the rain. Ill be looking in the field on my next day off.

Awesome gift, I would be floored!!! Then very agitated because I know my OCD would creep up and force me to try an put it all back together….

Nice gift... here's an idea I have...

I collect shards of pottery from various places and digs... when I have enough I plan to make a stepping stone or two with the pottery inlaid in the concrete. I figure it's a great conversation piece, and a way to preserve the memories of finding these otherwise useless pieces of pottery etc :)

As my favorite actor used to say, "Holy Crap". A very nice gift. Get that metal detector while arrowhead hunting. It will slow you down and you will find more points.

I have a keeper bucket for myself with all different types of markings on each piece. I am still washing the pottery as of yet. I still got 2 more buckets to go before I am done. I got one bucket for the brown and another bucket for the black and grey plain and another for decoration pieces. I think they will make some nice colorful frames when they are complete. It was a very nice gift.

Here is some more nice looking pieces. The very first piece is unusual due to the weight almost as lite as a piece of cardboard.

Are those pieces really green?
Or is that the settings on your camera?
