Well I had guard week Apr.2-5 and did some detecting right after dismissal so yes I was detecting in uniform. It was funning how fast people come up to you and talk and see what your doing. I told them Im practicing my land mining skills (LOL). Lots of places I've been but mostly in two town Dunlap and Woodbine where my parents live at. Dunlap built in the late 1860's was the most promissing to me because I hit the old library hard but found only 13 Quarter 13 dimes and 44 Copper/and the zinc pennys but no oldies there yet. Ok now to my mothers house built in the early 1900 and plenty of good stuff but still no oldies. Only found 4 quarters and 1 dime and 6 pennys adn a smillie token that my wife liked.
Thats from Apr.2-5th now today had a state test to do and did past that (Thank God) . So to celebrate I went to a local park here in town and try my luck again after last yrs goodies and oldies. Found 1 Quarter 4 pennys/zinc 1 dime but heres the kicker. Out of nowhere got a strong hit 8" down maybe to to the wet ground that helped because Ive been over this spot a few time and never heard it. It was a 1920-D Merc. and a 1935 Wheaty about 10 ft apart. Sorry no pics do to camera error but nothing new, but a good start with Ace 250.
