Bad day that is! Last night it started. Both of my vacuum cleaners broke. One of them the wheel fell off and broke the other one the side split when I was dumping out the junk. Today the a/c goes out on my fan and the first place said they would be $1600 to fix. But I am taking It to get another estimate on Monday.

So who knows what that will be but it will definitely keep me from spending too much money this weekend! Next I had a paper jam in my printer and I pulled it out and it broke the printing arm.

And last my wife her electric toothbrush broke and they're like $100 +to replace.

So after all of that I stopped at the thrift store today due to severe depression and anxiety...

Spent $12 on silver. A spoon for $1. And a broken bracelet for $10. Total weight was 67.5 grams.

Also got a signed belt for three dollars I have sold these in the past for $75 with free shipping.

There is three of them on line for under $20 apiece I may buy them and stick them all up at Christmas time!

Also the 14 carat gold necklace that was $15 I sold that already though.

And I bought a new printer!

I bought similar Brother in Jan. Works like a charm

Hang in there beachkid.

I buy all electric small appliances from Bed Bath & Beyond. Reason being: they are expensive, they always break, and Bed Bath & Beyond has a no questions asked return policy.

I'm not trying to game the system and would pay more for a quality product. However for things like electronic toothbrushes, irons, etc, they just don't exist.

Almost everything that you broke (or broke on you) could all be bought in a pallet at the main auction I go to for a give away price & it would come with boxes full of other similar (or duplicate) items as well. Printers & things like electronic toothbrushes & vacuum cleaners don't bring anything (even nice Dyson's) at this place. A pallet like that with a nice Dyson on the pallet too you might pay $20-$25 for the pallet. If it has a descent Hoover or something similar you might get the pallet for $5-$7.50. And when I'm talking things like electronic toothbrushes I'm talking new in the box. I saw several get thrown this past Wednesday, I almost grabbed one but didn't.

Paper shredders, printers, tube TV's, microwaves, irons, toaster ovens, blenders, toasters, crock pots, slow cookers, food processors, meat grinders, fans, electric heaters, electric woks, fry daddy's, waffle irons, electric can openers, electric knives, George Forman Grills, coffee pots of any style old or new, foot spas, vaporizers, & on & on get thrown away at this place at a rate you wouldn't believe. Sometimes even sweepers get tossed or taken to the trash there. There are certain things I will never have to buy again cause I know where I can get it for free on about any Wednesday between 9am & 5pm.

You did great on the silver!

I went to target and looked at a Dyson and thought you know what I'll buy my wife one she'll be so happy. I get there... $499! I laughed out loud and this lady looked at me and said are you okay? I said some crazy person wants $500 for a vacuum cleaner!!!

So I walked around the store for little bit and I did buy something! A brand-new never used broom and I came home and showed my kids how to use it! $7.99!!

I do have a I robot I forgot about in my garage. I came home and plugged it in and charged it all night and used it today. Works great! I will buy 50 vacuum cleaners at the yard sales for $10-$20 each before I ever buy one for $499! Plus 6% tax. And you know they want that extra warranty as well!

Yup Dysons are no where near cheap unless you get them at the auctions I go to. On a high dollar day one might sell for $30 on a low dollar day maybe $10-$20. I will end up buying one from there once I move unless I find oner for cheaper somewhere else.

I was dumpster diving once (for packing material) & ended up behind an electrolux (SP?) dealer in a strip mall & they had a dumpster full of Eureka's, Hoovers, Dirt Devils & the like. I ended up taking 10 of them & went home & they all worked. I took all but 2 to a small auction house & got $100 out of them. Sold one to a friend for $15 & I kept one.
