HAD A GOOD DAY TUESDAYi !went to a soccer feild near home and was detecting near the park areas when well nature called(ie coffe)was there maybe 10 minutes so took off my gear leaned my detector on a gabage can next to "the honey pot" and happened to glance in the can(i always look in them never know when a bag of money may turn up ;D )well to my surprise there was a boat load of golf balls in it.so i answered the call then scooted to the car for my backpack that i keep my gear in,loaded them up and took them home.well the count is 318 of them a 5 gallon bucket full!so im guessing thats about 100 dollars or so ne one golf ill get a break down of types and #s . ne golfers help on prices etc of the types etc to see the value of them all.ill get some pics up when honey comes home with the camera.

At least a buck a piece in the pro shop for used ones. Titleist or Prostaff maybe a little more. If they aren't nicked up at all even more. If they have a stripe around them you'll just go to jail for stealing range balls. ;D

Really! That's good to know.About the buck a piece for good used ones, not the striped range balls! ;D :)

thankx packer backer about 30 are range balls some are a little scuffed up but hey thankx for the heads up!

I know flea markets sell them for about 25 to 50 cents a ball. The way I play, those are my best deals. I have seen in the Pro Shops they sell them for a buck to a buck 25 a ball. If you play golf, sounds like a great find. Definitely get rid of them stripe range balls.

Cool find!! What did the meter read? ;D

Some courses I play, houses line some of the fairways. And often times there'll be some enterprizing kids in there back yard selling lemonade along with golf balls in egg cartons, to passing golfers. Balls they've gathered from errant shots into there yard.
I always make it a point to stop and buy some lemonade and a few balls.
No doubt I've bought many of my own golf balls from previous rounds. HH

Nice find. I played golf before I hurt my back and there was a guy who sold used balls from the trunk of this car for a dollar apiece! I have several golf balls I have found in the parks along with 4 really nice baseballs and two basketballs. Monty

Sounds like you could make a few $$$ from that find, good deal! HH, Mike

monty mentioned baseballs to, well i have a 5 gallon bucket of bballs softballs and tennis balls also....

were i was detecting is right next to a golf course my guess is someone didnt want them or someone stashed them there for later but i got to them first... ;D
