Western Tennessee, what's available to search for?

We live in Western Tennessee Weakley County Southern most tip of the county.
We own 6 acres with a small natural creek running through it and we are just down the road from parts of the Obion River.

What kinds of rocks and gems are here to search for, and is there a website that can help us with what's in our area?

Thanks for the help!

Eric

Welcome to Treasure Net, May your stay be enjoyable.

Hello, I don't know about Rocks & minerals in your area, but Indians everywhere camped close to a water source, look on higher ground , or on plowed ground, if any is in your area for Indian Relics, hope this helps, Fossis...............

We have found our share of arrowheads and broken pottery over the years. There are actually some mounds still around this area.

We really are interested in the areas natural gemstones or rocks that could be displayed.

We were hoping someone from around this area might know what to look for or that there might be a website we have overlooked that would help out with information. We have done a little metal detecting, but we would also like to find some natural rocks or gems in our area as well.

Any resources online or by other members who know would be very appreciated.

Thanks!

Eric
