Detector(s) used
discovery 1100

bought at RS a few years back. Used mainly to look for horseshoes in the pasture
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
hey yinz guys/gals. I am new at metal detecting that doesn't involve horseshoes and beer cans (totally mystified about why there are buried beer cans in the pasture). A few years back, I bought a Discovery 1100 at RS for a present for my husband who immediately said, "I don't need this." So I thought i would keep it to find horseshoes when my main bud looses one.

But I always wanted to use it for fun. Have no idea where to go in my area. Always wanted to take it on trail rides, but the other riders have no interest in stopping except for eating or tree hugs.

One place i would love to go is along the river in kittanning. But haven't.

Well that's the intro. :headbang: <-my son

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Welcome to T'net. Just be warned - detecting is addictive! Lots of good people and good advice here. Go to the PA forum and don't hesitate to ask questions. You can PM me if I can help with any questions.

he really said that? ouchy.

oh, and welcome and good luck!

Welcome to Tnet. You need to go to that Kittanning river. If you wait, you may never go. To me detecting is a impulse sport. Think of a place to hunt and go. Just make sure you have permission. Good luck.

Hello Jo Ann and welcome from Birmingham, Alabama. This is a great place to share safe, effective treasure hunting information. Good luck and we look forward to seeing your cool finds.
