Sold them all.
I recently purchased some vintage vacuum tubes as well as a vintage Sonic Frontiers Stereo Amplifier at auction. As I stated in earlier/previous posts, I have done well with auctions finds as well as GS finds. Unfortunately, this was not a cheap purchase. :icon_scratch:

Any recommendations on getting these tested, I have 6 of the 300B's? Purchasing a machine or a place that will test them? I think I would prefer they are professionally tested, since I know little about testing them.

Thanks for any help.

A sold listing below, these appear to be new tubes w/boxes. Prices go down from there, but they all appear to command considerable prices. :hello2: The Sonic Unit values should be in the $1-$2k area. I did not upload a pic, if someone wants too see it, I can.

I would like a picture, I have bought and sold electronics all my life. Look for a local ham radio shack, they will test them.
If no shack, advertise for a ham radio op to help you. Most hams still use tubes.

Old tube guitar amps are very popular. Check with a vintage guitar store. Their repair person should have a tester...

Yeah, ham radio or guitar amp repairman. And on that note, tube testers can be a good buy, too.

What makes those particular tubes worth that much???

Anything Western Electric!!!

I just sold a tube tester about a month ago that might have worked for you, A Conar 223 in great shape. Paid $3 and got $90 BIN. Vacuum tubes are still used and still in demand.

Thanks for all the help. Sorry for late response, crazy work/kid school stuff.

Leaning towards buying a tester. I have a huge box of tubes I bought at a GS some years ago, so I can check those out also.

If or rather when I list them I can post a pic of the test.

I will post a pic of the[h=2]SFS-40 AMP soon.[/h]
Thanks again. Happy hunting!
