Went to the county fare then got stood up!

Took the kids to the county fare tonight and notice some shoulder work on the road along the way. Afterwards I got out for an hour and headed back to the noted site. Didn’t take to long before I found a 41 wheat. It seemed like a fluke, mostly tons of trashy signals and weird sporadic EMI. Anyway, eventually i I got a banging 35 on the Equinox, dug up some random piece of hardware...... Then A foot or so away I go a signal I figured for a penny with the six inch coil. I was pleasantly surprise when out popped my second ever standing liberty quarter.

Maybe my next one will have a date 😀

One of our most beautiful coins, in my humble opinion. Poorly designed, or at least, not designed for heavy wear. The quarter is the most circulated coin. The tried to fix the design of the date by recessing it but too little too late. Only 16 yrs and the Washington quarter made it obsolete. A good find in any condition. Gary
