Went to my first club hunt today.
The first hour in I found my first barber coin. A nice and dark 1901 Dime. I was beyond thrilled to find this dime. Ive been wanting a barber coin so badly and to find it at my first club hunt with my father had me very elated. I would have been happy with just that but we had 6 hours to go.
I was walking and swinging for hours, finding plow pieces, random brass farm objects, I did come across a large button looks 1800s for sure. Ill upload a picture of that later.
I had about 1.5 hours left in the hunt and I was tempted to go back to where I found the barber, but instead i went to a field I had yet to detect. I initially didnt detect it because it was near parking and it was an area a lot of people turned on their detectors and started swinging at.
I dug some deep large iron and was about to give up, but I kept trudging and im glad i did. I head the sweet tone of silver in my headphones and was getting a 79-80 on the AT Pro. Showing 6 and 8 inches.
I was expecting a coin but I was NOT expecting what I dug.
Turned out to be my Oldest Coin, Oldest Silver, and FIRST Spanish Silver.
Mexico Mint 1761 Carlos III 1/2 Real. WOW
