Teknetics Delta 4000
So I went over to my sister's house which used to be my grandparents house. My grandma used to use hang clothes up outside all the time so I thought I might be able to find some coins underneath the clothesline. I have a teknetics delta 4000 and I normally have the discrimination set on 5 or 6 but I was getting a ton of signals that would bounce from foil to nickel and dime. I couldn't repeat any of the signals though, I turned the discrimination down as low as it would go and those signals went away. Why was I getting all those signals and couldn't repeat any of them?

I didn't have any luck there so I went a block down to a local park and detected around the playground equipment which had a gravel base (not fun to detect in). I found a bunch of clad coins, any suggestions recovering items in gravel, all I had with me was my trash bag and digging sheath.

I don't have a Teknetic's, so I am not sure how you ground balance those. But it sounds to me that you may have balanced the machine over a target. Anytime I am getting
a lot of bouncing signals, I simply rebalance the machine and they clear up 90% of the time. Best tool for digging in gravel for me has been a screw drive, the smaller profile
helps get around the rocks and you can popo out the target a lot easier. Hope it helps!!!

Thanks for the advice Bil! I'll try rebalancing it tonight when I get home and hopefully that does the trick.
