at a yard sale..got theses for two bucks,not sure what kind of point but sure its real has wax on it,the hammerstone is neat too.got em in tenn. yard sale 001.JPGyard sale 002.JPG

Nice artifacts. Is all of your Hammer Stones that polished?
 

i found one not long ago different material but just as smooth,i was going to take a picture to show ya but cant locate it right now,ill look for it though it is here somewhere
 

Hammer Stones in this area werent polished like that. Id like to know what they were hitting it with to leave no marks on the stone. It looks real smooth.
 

not sure rock but some got more abused than others,it could be something else but i call it a hammer stone.they would wrap these up in rawhide too and use as a war hammer,or maybe grind corn or other grains who really knows.they would make arrowheads with them too.i would think they would like to use a smooth rock rather than a rough one to work with as it is better on the hands.could of been on its way to be a celt maybe too.
