I went to a rec field five miles from home to hunt for quarters and there were plenty, 40 in all.

One of those quarter-sounding signals was quite shallow, this sterling ring....

This one was made in Thailand and likely sold through QVC in the late 1990s.
It was marketed by the Pranda Group, a wholesale jewelry manufacturer.

I wasn't digging too many mid-tones but this one sounded compelling..... a bale seal.

Great to get the clad but also some silver and an old item.

Nice finds McCDig. Dang, but that "old item" sure looks like a bottle cap of some sort - sure it isn't but it sure is configured like one... Thanks for sharing...

A beautiful and one full of stones here. And 10 bucks in change gave you gas money.

Hi, nice silver ring you found:icon_thumleft: Congrats

Nice work, I bet if you switched to digging only nickles you might surprise yourself at that spot?

We'll done on the ring and that's a cool seal, haven't seen one like that before.

You're right, Brad. If you look at my bag its quarters, dimes, cents and only an occasional nickel.
I usually pass up the nickel range signals.

Very nice ring!

You've done well, grasshopper. You've finally learned from your sensei. ;):tongue3:

Nice looking ring. Unusual to find all the stones in them. Don't give up on the nickle signals. There are plenty of other items in the nickle range besides can slaw.

Thx Jamie!. Open design behind the stones would lead me to believe these are gemstones.

Thx Whadi! With a NE wind on the open field the hunting was good. I was going for the quick score since I didn't have much time, thus lots of quarters.

Thx pepperj! I'd like to get back there and take my time. Doesn't seem to have been hunted recently, though I did detect a few plugs.

Thx WaterScoop! The flash of silver added to roundness = unexpected treasure.

Thx vpnavy! I'll call it the "Coke cap" bale seal, a first for me. Also first bale seal of 2018!

Thx thrifty76now! I've been trying to hit some rec areas where I'd expect to find mucho clad.

Thx Brendan75! Really pleased to have scored silver. Happy hunting and best of luck!
