Annapolis, I hunt south to Flag pond area and as far North as the Bush river. I try and keep it under 60 minutes travel time, North or South.
I use to travel to OC when I first started and even had a place there for 2 years, but ended up retired and now a Bay Pirate.
I like the way your silvers comes out, that for sure tells me it fresh water or brackish. Bay Silvers, there is a lot out there but most is in sad condition. Keep the post coming, New year soon.. fresh start...Good Luck!

OC has changed a lot in the last 6 years. 2009 to 2012 I averaged 25 gold a year, most from there. And that is just going down for a few days here and there, and working a 50 hour job. Now it's really hard to even find silver.. people are not wearing it like they use too. That being said, Sand Point did a slide also around 2014, but now those guys do well. From what I've seen shared by my buddies down OC, they only get a few gold a year, where as Sandy Point hunters who work it hard are getting a few gold to several. The best I seen was two guys I know..one has 15, and the other 13 gold for the year. One was a sweet 26 gram 18k necklace. That 7am to 9am hunt time is to early for me and not long enough but its getting tempting..

I thought about going to sandy point its about an hour 1/2 drive for me.Then I saw the limited hunt times and its just not worth the drive for me.Are the hunt times still the same for winter??

Summer hours... May 31 to Sept 7.. labor day to memorial day 7am to 9am..some slip in at 6am but they have the passes. The rest of the year 7am till dusk? Fall/Winter/Spring...... Summer is the best time for Sandy Point but I have got a few gold during the winter. Just a matter of things moving in the right spot.

Went out yesterday to the water and found couple cool finds 1914 and 1906 barber
Live in Gaithersburg. Would sure like to know where I can start hunting for some "treasures". I am a newbee...
Thanks for any pointers.
