Anyway, Did some more snooping and found a little pottery and a other stone item along with some bones (lets just say some animal for the record) 8) and something that looks like a tooth..
The sharp thing look as if it belonged to a marine animal, maybe a crab? If anyone knows, Please let me know!
What do you think of the stone???, it was found in the same area as the bones, shells and pottery fragments about a foot or more down. Beside the celt from the other day, There is no stones in the area of this nature.
It is broken off on the back side, but is very smooth on the one side and looks as though is was used for pounding..What do you guys think? Any other artifacts like this around..I'm sure all prehistoric people use about the same tools everywhere in the world to get the job done.
Thanks again!
Dave

Cool finds Dave! I was in Okinawa as a jarhead years ago. I was at camp hansen. There use to be a
cave right on the base that they didn't want us going in. I would sneek in there with my flashlight
and dig around looking for ww2 relics. I never found much but now that I think about it that cave
was probably a good place for artifacts, dang it! Just curious to what part of the island your at.

I was stationed at Kadena AFB twice during the Nam War 68-70.......I found a lot of WWII spent 30 cal and 50 cal shells that had dates on them from early 40's.....Unfortunately all the stuff I found was stollen from my room in the barracks one night.

I spent a lot of time drinking and chasing the ladies in Koza City, and did some down in Naha as well. I was young and wild back then. ;D

I remember they decided to expand the golf course on our base and in one of the hills when they cleared the heavy shurbs, they found an old Japanese Field hosipital, still stock with everything, including patients still on some tables. They were abandoned when the Marines landed during the invasion.....

camp shwab here....been to sinville many times...never did much treasure hunting there, but i did get stung in the buttcheek by a jelly fish while snorkeling! ooh rah oww!
