That is a reasonable guess. It's what jumped to my mind in the first two seconds of viewing the photo. But, notice the small groove running along the cylinder from the small hole for a short distance. So, I'm certain it is not a cannon friction-primer.

Cannonball guy is correct about the friction primer. I'm also in the finial club with my gut feeling on the other item. #1 could be a piece of a scabbard throat or similar (if cast). If stamped brass then I have no idea.

I’m referring to the manufacture method. Stamped versus cast. To be honest it’s impossible to tell which copper alloy things are made of without a chemical test. So…

If it’s cast possible scabbard or ceremonial sword fragment. If stamped, it’s not that.
