Went and hunted at a house I lived in when I was a little boy

Me and Possum hunted a house that I lived in when I was 6 -11. When my father died his home was sold to the church across the street and they hold a lot of Christian and Boy Scout retreats. And even though I was looking for something a little more personable from my past I’m glad the Boy Scouts were there.

I have one of those brass neckerchief knots i found not to long ago as well.
Thats cool hunting a place you lived as a kid.
Ive been wanting to do same, here in town too, but havent done so yet.
Now i have some motivation to do it..

I wanted anything personal from my parents, a toy, dog tag anything. Lost most everything personal from my past in Katrina. I tried though. It felt special.

I have not endured personal loss on the scale you and others have with Katrina. But, I did get a brief 2 hour permission to hunt my childhood home. Found a few wheat cents and a small hammer head that was mine as a child.........priceless. Get back there and find that memento of your childhood!!

I’m gonna try too Chizzy. My main childhood home is a war zone know, it’s called Now Orleans East, so that one is unfortunately out the picture.
