The ridge on our farm is limestone with a ledge of flint running along its southern side. To the west is the Waite farm which also has a limestone hill with a flint exposure. These flints range in colors blue, dark grey and black with many inclusions and fossils and streaks of chalcedony. The first pic. is Waite's Ridge taken from Wells Ridge. The second pic. is Wells' Ridge taken from Waite's Ridge. Also pictured are 2 pieces from Wells Ridge.

A blue arrowhead would be awesome- nice looking piece of land you have there !

My first production from the flint using only a hammer stone. I have a long way to go, but i'm watching a lot of videos by the experts and hope to make some respectable looking points.

Looks like the points I find but hopefully mine are ancient.

You are doing great with just a hammer stone:icon_thumleft:. I can't tell from the photo, but does it have a slight gloss to it. I would love to get my hands on some of that stone.

Yes, this piece has gloss and translucency around the edge. This flint occurs on many of the limestone outcrops in our valley. It's also called Penns Creek Chert or Middlecreek Chert by local collectors.
