well,technically i found after searching,now i need some help with nitric acid.

ok, awhile back i aquired some nitric acid. when i i put a drop on non gold metal it turned green. when i put it on gold it didnt turn any color. that acid got used up. today i aquired some 70% nitric acid. when put on gold it turned a light brown. when on non gold metals it didnt change....... does anyone know what i need to do to turn my current acid into the other acid i had? please help if anyone has any ideas. the original acid i have no idea the percentage or what was mixed with it. thanks
