Well It's Official

I am now a Metal Detectorist with my first machine. I bought the Excalibur 1000. I met Rod from the Forum here at Kellyco This Past weekend and when I got there Rod was Already wheeling and dealing w/ the Sales Man Dennis. He said he found a deal on line Courtesy of Copper another member here, where if you bought the Excal Or Sovereign you get a ACE 150 Detector Free . Well after everyone verifying everything we actually ended Up with the Excals and Bounty Hunter Lonestars. It was a great deal and I walked out about an hour and a half after arriving with two metal detectors. Anyways A big thanks to Rod and To Copper for helping me out. Now I just need to go Huntin. Keep ya all posted

It was a pretty good deal actually. I must say it was cool to meet someone else from the forum,...Floater
We talked for sometime to the folks there at Kellyco. They finally came around and granted the deal to us.

I left shortly after Floater did, he had a much longer trip back home then I did.
All in all it was a great day, met a super guy (Floater) and his wife, bought an Excalibur 1000, got a free BH LoneStar, and checked out Kellyco for the first time. Not a bad day.

Floater and I intend to get together in the near future for some beach hunting. Trying to work out the details now as to time and place. I'm sure one or both of us will post the finds for all to share.

I told Floater that I was going to make a hip mount for the Excalibur,....I just couldn't see spending $40 on that gimpy little setup that Minelab offers! Well,....I made it and I'll post some pics of it tomorrow in this post and a separate post as well. I'll try to spell out the directions for everyone else to make their own. Cost me $3 to make it AND it's better than the one they sell for $40! Really, no kidding

Enough for now, .....it was great meeting Floater and his wife. Also, I must thank Copper as well for emailing me the link to the deal at upstatedetectors. Thanks Copper

Well everyone,

I will fill you guys in on the latest concerning the deal that Floater and I got at Kellyco

It keeps getting better! Turns out the owner had promised Copper ( another member here) a pinpointer along with the free detector, FREE.

Well, I called Wanda up and said,...."Hey? What's the deal here? I want one too "

After a few minutes of arm twisting,..." was doing the twisting , she agreed to send me AND FLOATER each a FREE Automax V2 in the mail

Not to shabby! Paid for an Excalibur 1000 and got a FREE BH LoneStar and a FREE Automax V2 pinpointer! Gotta love it!
