Hate to see the detecting year come to an end , but it has not been above 32 degrees all week, 6 to 8 inches of snow today, and not getting above freezing next week. Time to remove batteries, and call it a year! Come on Spring!

I feel ya! I went out yesterday 31 degrees wind howling I found one clad quarter.. had to quit [emoji20]

In the Pacific Northwest we have tons of areas where sledding occurs as well as lots of large parking lots for skiers.

Snow detecting is fun and very rewarding. Fingers shrink in the cold weather and rings are just as lost as in the water..

Try it ...you will be surprised as I was when someone suggested it. It truly is very rewarding when all the snow melts in the spring and I go detect the melted piles of snow where the snow plow dumped the parking lot snow. Even surface $20 bills(No detector necessary just a good eye ball)

I feel for you guys, I really do. I was out at Azalea Park yesterday, swinging the small coil, in a t-shirt, sweating.

Same here and I have hunted many sledding hills and skating rinks in years past. Now I do more relic hunting and not much coin shooting, but will fire up the AT Pro on a warm sunny day, out of boredom

A civil War Store token, from Detroit, a 1859 Canadian Large cent, and some cool relics.8-) Keep huntin you warm weather guys, I need pictures to get through the cold Michigan Winter. My wife says stay off line, "You don't need any more detectors!":laughing7:

As you drive around take note where the most activity is in the snow and go back if and when you have a warm up! You’ll be surprised at what you find! Good luck to you this winter!

I am in the same boat, just praying for a thaw the week of Christmas so I might get in a couple more hunts in for 2017. If not those targets will rest in place until mid March.
