I took the DEUS to an old park on Easter Sunday. I should have known that all the parents would be hiding Easter Eggs for their kids to find. I probably could have picked off a few eggs but I figured with the temps around 87, the jelly beans would be close to melting. lol
The Black Jelly Bean is my favorite.
I tried to focus on the deep targets because this park is carpeted with steel bottle caps. Even with that approach, I managed to pull up a few steel caps from a depth of 5 inches. At that depth, they are almost completely rusted out but give off a sweet sound. The steel bottle caps closer to the surface will give off a pop and the numbers will bounce all over the place. A quarter that is close to the surface will give you a strong signal but the VDI number will hold at a consistent 95. At least on the program that I'm using.
I couldn't locate any silver but I did dig up a cool little toy tank, 5 Wheat pennies, (including a 1909), and 32 quarters. Pays for my gas.
