Well I had a pocket full of sherds

Weather people said today would be the only day this week with no rain so I thought why not go have a look. I went all the way to the end of the property where I have permission to hunt which is a haul. Got almost to the huge rock bar and I heard thunder. I thought what the heck. Just as soon as I stepped on it here comes the rain. I was already there so I stayed till the thunder got closer. I was finding some cool sherds that still had the red slip color which was something I hardly ever find. I put them in my back pocket so they wouldnt get damaged from bending over. I decided to leave cause it started raining harder and I knew it was a long ways. I got the a steep hill which had leaves on the slope took 1 step and wow it was a instant slide all the way down. This is all that survived the fall. Hard to believe I couldnt even find a flake of flint at all any place. Maybe it will rain hard this week and flood some. Did find some nice sticks to work on though so it wasnt a total loss of my time. HH, rock

Yep you might want to think of a different way to carry them but glad you're ok. You better be careful out there, those storms that come up quick like that can be dangerous! oops almost forgot to say, those that you have left are some beauties!

BDU's are military field pants with all the pockets. If you have a military surplus close by they are worth the investment.

I have some but they are insulated and it was a little warm that day. Thanks for the offer. I doubt if any soft material would of made it on that fall the way I tumbled down. I havent had that happen in years but next time I will know not to do it on a wet rainy day.

That is a Mississippian print. Its my favorite type of sherd I keep every piece I find of it. I hope to have a frame full of it one day.
