When I left the office at 4 today, I was bummed out that it was raining since it meant I couldn't detect. 10 minutes later I pulled the car over, opened the trunk, and started taping a plastic bag over the detector's housing, all in some sort of glassy-eyed trance. I detected for about 45 minutes before it got too muddy.

Anyhow, found some cool stuff, including my second silver Roosie (1954) in two days, some old copper phone wire clamps, an old metal cap gun (Nichols Army .45 Automatic), a 1984 rabies tag from Atglen, PA,a 1975 Hot Wheels, a 1971 Kennedy half, and 24 cents modern.

The rain stops tonight, so I guess I'll go again tomorrow after work. Love daylight savings time! Thanks for looking. HH

hey, I lived in Las Cruces for 6 months a few years ago. No detector then, but I have to think there's plenty of old stuff out there. Keep at it and good luck!
