I found this a couple weeks ago in an old dump and I have decided to post it. When I frost found it I thought it was a part of a watch or something like that but now I am not to sure. It has the shape of a watch, but it only has 7 holes around the middle thing. The middle thing can spin as well. I think it is some kind of wood but not 100% sure. Two of the holes have little copper pieces sticking out the back and I think all of them used to. Also, the wood stuff seems to be layered. An help is greatly appreciated. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

I'm wondering if it's asbestos , thin wood won't last long outdoors . it has the shape of a small engine exhaust gasket so my guess is muffler part.

It's the majority of an old rotary switch, missing several contacts
around the dial. I can also see the gasket from when it was installed,
along with the mounting holes.

Yup, probably made of some sort of bakelite or fiberboard type material.
