I was given this vase about 6 years ago by my Mother. She got it at an auction.
It looks like a tornado but I can't figure out who made it or is it actually a vase?
It has a pontil mark and a signature that I can't make out. The signature looks
like Frank T Glass or Gloss. Is this a manufacturer? It really looks like a signature.
It could also be Fred. It looks like an F first name. Anyway, it stands about 18 inches tall.

It is made of cranberry glass. Should have value to collectors. Good luck with it.

Hello vjblock,

Welcome to TNet, and thanks for bringing this lovely glass tornado.

Could'ya photograph it in natural light, please. Glass does not like flash photography for the most part.

Go all macro on the signature, please. I'd like to see the juncture of the clear and cranberry, and the base, too. I'm not deciphering it as of yet, but I believe it's dated. Appears to be a '43.'

I have tried to take other pics but my camera isn't that great. My mother has an excellent camera. I am going
to take it to her and let her take a few really good pics! Thanks for the input!

It looks to be a hand blown studio glass piece. there have been hundreds of studios so it may take time to figure this one out.
