Weird thing today...

Haven't posted in a long time but have been pulling the silver for months Anyway..... at lunch I called 4 banks I've never called before. I asked if they had any half dollars and I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they all did. I just went to the closest 2 which were about 20 miles from me and 5 miles from each other. I got $530 from one and $400 from another. Didn't really look at them when they put them in bags for me. Got home and noticed that they ALL had funny little marks on the rolls. Began looking through them and found out that all the coins were facing the same way in every roll Turns out I found someones dump banks The person who rolled them made sure they were all facing the same way in each roll. Kinda weird. Anyone run into this before?


BTW my best find was last week.... 74 40%'s and one 64 in $140 of rolls. Was a very good day

I have found roll like that and on top of them being heads to tails I have found them sorted by dates.

I turned down $400 worth today. The teller told me they had a mark on the rolls that I was familiar with. Some one is dumping at my bank (3 bank town).

I've never encountered it, but I'm one of those people that face every coin the same way. I don't do it to be a jerk, I just do it because I first stack them by dates, then pick out the best dates to go in my Whitman folders. The only time I actually thought about doing it to get back at someone is when I dumped about $1500 worth a few months ago. There's this old grouchy man that I met at my dump bank, which used to be my supply bank until I "encroached" on this territory, at least that's how he put it. Ever since I met him, I've been dumping there. I bet he was pretty ticked off when he found about 50 full rolls of Bicentennial halves all facing the same way.

Moral of the story: Be nice to other CRH'ers.
