Hello All. I found this last night at a house built in the 1920's.

Wife says maybe it's a garter clip but it seems too big for that and I have never seen one made of silver. It's 2-3/4 x 3/4-IN and the back is plain except for the letters "STE". Looks like the rest of "STERLING" is worn off.

If ribbon was through the slotted part it could be a bookmark maybe.

Good job 2M. I was thinking it was a latch on a fancy clutch purse from the 1920's or about, but couldn't find anything down path, so I gave up. Yes! I'm a quitter. :sadsmiley:

I found what it was searching ribbon latch or something along those lines. I didn't know what it was before that! I've never seen one before. Lol. Glad I could help. This forum and the members have helped me a lot. I love searching new stuff and learning new things.
