✅ SOLVED Weird little thing.

My mom and her husband went to a couple of friends today. There friends wanted them to take this thing home to me, so that I could show it to you guys. My first thought was hand guard for when you are sewing, my second thought was auctioneers hammer. Any help would be appreciated. the object is 6.5 centimeter long and 3.5 wide.

Molevacker the only wear marks is on top of the "wood". I don't think that it is amber, I come from Denmark and we got a lot of amber here. In my eyes it looks to be plastic, but I am not sure.

I think the amber part was the handle and on the other end was affixed a brass, copper , or
lead disc with a design or coat of arms, and it was used to seal the wax seal on letters .

I was trying to figure out what it was, I think you are right.Could also be Rhea or Emu.
