Weird ?lead? Bar

Found in a field mixed with everything from the 1600s on... Had about a 1/4 inch of rust on that i pryed off after vinegar...its pretty heavy and about 3" long...any ideas at all would be appreciated, and it is not threaded like a hex but or anything

I'd say that it's iron, An iron what i do not know.

Looks very similar to a Hinge Pin,Most are stainless but depending on the age(1600s Site),It could be a cast pin as well.

Certainly cast iron due to color, weight, and visible casting marks. But I don't think a rivet is quite right, as the head would be semi-spherical (domed, but not round). Perhaps it was part of some decorative fixture?
