I have no idea. My guess is 1900-1920 range based on the site. Probably something in the Sears Catalog, but I haven't been able to locate it yet.

It reminds me of those faceted lights/indicators on old signs.

Actually, cane topper was my second thought. Whatever it is, I believe it may have had another lens or faceted piece on the opposite side. You can see threads on the bottom end of it.

I used to have one i dug years ago and someone told me it was a boat signal. It had red and blue or green on the other side, faceted glass like yours. Just what I was told.

Well dug in Louisiana, there are certainly lots of boats here! The water was 60 feet away from this site.
