Found an interesting brass piece yesterday. The base is rouighly 3/4" diameter, overall height 3/8", base height about 1/16", and that step is roughly 1/4" from the bottom. Speaking of the bottom their are four holes underneith the piece. These seem to be about 3/16" in diameter. There are four numbers marked on the circumferance of the thing: 50615, 00050, 80067, 0001, with dash marks all around the perimeter (centered in the numbers.

At first, I was wondering if there was some type of pivoting piece like a bar that fit into the V of the top. It's pretty tapered and seemed logical some type of bar would maybe be centered in there. The two sides of the bigger V shaped piece, look like they have notches in them, almost looking like a pivoting spot.

Then I started looking closer at the four holes in the bottom. I think it's not quite cleaned completely, but two of the holes are deeper (going up into the two highest parts that form the V I was talking about). The other two holes are shallower. I noticed one of the holes on the bottom went all the way through one side of the V (high point), and I believe the other does too. In looking at the bottom part (4 holes), I think all four go through to what I perceive is the top of the piece.

My latest thought is it's maybe some type of sprayer tip. Any ideas?

This is all I have to say to you:

Take this to a pawn shop and ask for an identification for this. The dude who posted the pictures might be right, but just make sure. Not sure what the heck this thing is, so yeah. That's my advice.

I had to clean the keyboard off thinking about that one, thanks for the morning :laughing7:

I would love to hear the responses of the pawnshop owners.
Seriously they do know a bit on many things, but not on everything.
To 99% of them it's an old piece of brass that will get a response of :dontknow:, and with zero value.

I'm pretty confident it is a brass spray nozzle tip. The four holes on the bottom actually have aperatures in the top. I've already dumped it my brass and copper pile for future scrap sale. Thanks for the input everyone.
