Hello Forum!

“Barber Ball Field” - Our new name for a local "Hunted Out Park" that has been pounded for years... Just watch what happens when you detect an old park with a Minelab CTX 3030 and the conditions are just right!

In this video the Relic Rangers do the “Hunted Out” park challenge. We went to a local city park typically crawling with metal detectorists in search of deep elusive targets. Andrew (aka Silver Hawk) uses the Minelab CTX 3030 equipped with the large 17-inch coil and kills it. Andrew also explains the grounds conditions and machine settings, which allow so many good targets to appear. Watch the hawk recover multiple silvers, including a beautiful Barber quarter and a huge men’s sterling ring. Lots of Barber dimes and Mercury’s are also saved in this EPIC episode of the Relic Rangers!

Happy Hunting!

Did he say “17 inch NEL coil?”:laughing7: I must’ve missed the part where he was explaining the tech stuff...:dontknow:

Hehe... He was confused with the coil on the eTrac... LOL We also call that "silver fever". :laughing7:

Congratualtions on the nice hunt! :occasion14:

I'd like to know the program settings he was using.

Your finds got me standing on my head!

Great vids. You guys must hunt in areas without much competition from other detectorists. Great for you!!!

Sweet job on the silver,, the Minelabs go deep, have excellent target separation, and the reactivity time is fast.
Congratulations

Good job. Thanx for taking the time to put together the video. Love the in-situ live reveals !

I'd like to know the program settings he was using.

Auto +3, Low trash, fast recovery on, recovery deep off, 17 inch coil in rain saturated soil. Could just barely hear some of the dimes at close to 12 inches deep in heavy iron infested sand stone over clay base. We noticed the signals were gone after the ground dried and drained out. Going back this weekend as rain is once again in the forecast! I did find a 1936 Walker half dollar today very close to the 1935 WA quarter! Still producing!
