Went metal detecting at Cold Harbor, VA on private land with owners permission. Made some nice recoveries. In the bottom of one of the Confederate trenches my new Garrett AT Pro was showing 65 on the digital ID and depth of about 8 inches. Nice recoveries but the folks you where with really beat the H*LL out of that "wagon wheel". Care should be taken when recovering all artifacts big or small. But that's my opinion and maybe things are done different up north.
 

Man what a fun couple of hunts. Looks like a nice group and the trenches were loaded.
