Weekend Hunt With TNetter Todd Lipe

I got a PM from Tnet member Todd Lipe. We spoke on the phone and set up a hunt in Charlotte, as he is from Mooresville, about 40 miles away.

He showed up at 7:45 AM on Saturday, and we were off on a grand adventure. We hit an old apartment site in town. Right out of the chute Todd got a wheatie... the second hole had a set of paratrooper wings in it... marked sterling... I was beginning to wonder if this was such a good idea after all... 8 minutes in and he already has treasure... damn...

We hunted several spots. I got clad, a watch, bottom of a rouge container, 1947 Jefferson, 3 wheaties, hideous copper ring, broken ID bracelet (no name)... and last, but not least a 1946 Rosie. I was so glad to see that little silver coin, it helped me save face in front of Todd. Thanks Deus!

That is silver coin #34 YTD.

Glad to see more and more forum members are sharing the hobby together. Its a lonely sport otherwise. Nothing like treasure hunting in a group to share in on the adventure.

He had a Minelab Safari. He PM'd me and told me to post the paratropper wings for him. The pin was gone from the rear, but it was still the best find of the day.
