It was a beautiful weekend in NC. I slipped out with TNet members, Kurt Stuben and P@tch for a little hunt on Saturday.

The pink dogwoods were blooming, and the treasure was jumping out of the ground. I was able to locate the following:

- Three Wheaties.
- Harmonica reed.
- Little shield with a "J" on it. Looks like a 1950s logo to me, do you recognize it?
- Teardrop reins guide.
- Umbrella part.
- 1896 IHC.
- 1941 Mercury dime.
- Hem weight.

Silver coins YTD: 11
IHCs YTD: 8

Thanks for looking and best of luck on your hunts!

Nice bunch of finds tom!, the reins guide and harmonica reed show the age of the site, gotta love a hunt with an Indian and merc!

Nice work Bro. I hope you're in shape and ready for some hunts up North soon!

Nice Tom, just got 4 inches of snow here, and temps will go down to 18 degrees for the next two days :BangHead:

Nice job. IHP and a Mercury is always a good day in my book.

Now just to clarify, when you go up to Yankee land, those silvers aren't going to count towards your YTD totals are they?? :laughing7:

Then again, maybe they should count double since you are probably returning stolen loot from the War of Northern Aggression. :happysmiley:

GL up north my man.

PS - You just won't let me catch you in the YTD totals will you? I scratched out a war nickel yesterday to put me at 10.

Thanks Bill!

I have had a slow start to the year with the silvers. A buddy in NJ has "prospected" a couple of spots for us, one yielded 8 silvers in a little over an hour. They have a colonial spot for us too. All the people are really cool, so it ought to be a good time.

Those "recovered Yankee" silvers will count towards my YTD total (supposing that I find any). Four and a half days in the North will cost me well over $1000, you better believe those coins count!

As for you catching up to me, that Peace dollar is going to be hard for me to match, so don't expect me to slow down for YOU!

Nice finds and your pix are getting very artistic.
I need a hug now. Your going to have to break out the lawnmower soon! :-)

Nothing wrong with a little friendly compitetion! Keep it up Tom! That "up north" hunt sounds like a party.

The flowers have been blooming, and I like to take pics of flowers and coins together, this is a periwinkle. Too many people do not take enough pride in their posts. I try to make mine interesting looking, even if I don't find much good stuff!

I will hire a homeless guy to hug you when I get to NJ, if you are good, I will hire two homeless guys to hug you. How about that?

Geez, and I thought I was obsessed with this hobby, that's alot of dough!

Nice digs Tom. :occasion14: What did you do, walk around taking pictures to give the others a better chance against your Deus?

Thanks for the hunt this weekend at your go to spot. Kurt and I watched you go to your spot and dig two nice coins. While neither of us found anything good we did have a good time. Hope you do well in Yankeeland ! Ha Ha.
