I went hard Friday thru Sunday searching the dirt at a total of 5 different areas. Area 5 produced most of the finds which was today. On Saturday I met up with Thad and Steve to roll the dice at a pounded early 1800s map dot.

Friday I found another bent Barber, this time a 1898 Dime.

Thad apparently missed this Cream Top Otto Milk Bottle when he found his :laughing7: Mine was barely visible and had to be dug out.

Today I found this big silver ring (not stamped) and 1820 LC both pleasant surprises!

A group shot of most of my finds from today. The War Nickel was found on the group hunt Saturday, first dug hole of that day.

Until next time t-net. Good luck everyone!

You have been going at it hard Louis and making nice finds. Congrats on more nice finds :icon_thumleft:

Nice finds Louis! What is the holes piece to the right of the LC? I found a shield nickel once that looked about the same, barely could make out the 5. Love the nice 1820 LC. 2 more days in March to find couple more silvers to get you back on track for 100 FTY. Nice bottle! Mine looks very similar, there must be more in that hole. Congrats

Thats some good coinage gotta say that milk bottle is pretty freakin cool That silver ring is a Honker nice job Stay safe out there. Tommy

A real nice bunch of finds - congrats !

Up to you but ...
I've straightened a few nice old Silver coins by putting the coin in between two thin wood blocks and hitting the blocks with a hammer.
Or you can put the wood blocks and the coin in a vise - I've had good luck both ways.

Good Hunting !

What a great hunt, congratulations! Are you going to take some polishing cream and a buffer to that beautiful ring? It is screaming for it! :laughing7: Sub

I found the holed piece doing a hillside in Scheneley Park when I did an hour there Sunday. It's wiped, no details, I can't remember the exact VDI but I like your nickel theory. It was also on the surface. I also got the V near there too. I'll be posting on tracking 100 very soon!

I should polish it up! I'll try doing that soon, I'll reply to your post when i do.
