Went out this past weekend for a 3 day camping trip at a local lake. Me and a buddy (Lawrence_1md) hit three beaches. As I entered the water at the first beach I was called over to talk to a Spanish woman. She had just lost her wedding band and showed me the location. I hunted the area and within 5 minutes I had found it for her. She was very happy. She said she did not have a reward for me, but offered a meal with her family. I smiled at her and said she did not have to and went back to detecting. I turned up a small platinum men's ring at that beach before dark. The next morning I met my buddy and we hit the other 2 beaches and ended up with a 14k men's band. The next day we headed home early due to my daughter had to go to work. I unloaded early and headed to another local lake. I hit the silver mine at this lake. All the rest of the finds were at chin deep water. Thanks for looking. HH

Thanks arrowhead92. I spend a lot of time out there detecting sometimes with no finds. The beaches were packed last weekend so the odds were in my favor. I was leaving as several other detectorist had just arrived. As they say the early bird gets the worm. lol. Happy Hunting my friend.

Arrowhead82 he has a special tray that attaches to his shoulders. It holds his balogna sandwich and a drink This way he doesn't waste time eating lunch and gets more time to metal detect.

Camb1 I'm jealous you pulled the gold band out of the water. I was a few paces away, I almost had it.

Great finds!

Where are we going next?

To that one place (*censored*) with water around it. Where the storm caught us last time.

There is that other place the new beach that I'm sure no one had detected. No canoes! Jon boat time across the lake. I'd say it's about a 20 minute ride. You never know what might be waiting under the sand there.

Let's go earlier then. lol

Great finds there! Wish there were some well used beach out here...

Waiting for the weather to let up and then we are going to hit the beach!

Might be a dark hunt. Does not bother me.
