Haven't posted in a while because the eternal rain has kept 90 percent of the fields from being plowed. Finally went out on Saturday night and picked up 4 and a nice squarish grinding stone. The grinding stone has good polish on all 4 sides and what I believe to be natural indents on both faces (guessing that is a happy coincidence and it served as a nutting stone as well?).
Also, in the count your blessings category...as I was pulling out in my 2011 Dodge Ram (7,000 miles) I gave it a bit too much gas and spun...this caused by back-end to slide slightly, next thing I know I'm sliding completely sideways toward a ravine. I figured no big deal...until the ground upon which the right side of the truck was sitting gave way (all that rain caused a cave-in). I then REALLY started sliding sideways, gaining ...heading over the bank and what would surely have been at least one half roll onto my right side and into the creek bottom. By the grace of GOD it somehow stopped within inches of where the rolls would have begun. It took a tow truck but my rig came out without a scratch! Phew! I almost became an artifact and so did my truck!!!!
