I'm new to this forum and new to MDing but thought I'd get on here and post a few pics. We took a family trip to Ansted, WV to my inlaws house that was built in 1890 and let's just say I had a really good time. A new hobby that's sure to stick for a while. Im in the charleston, sc area so I'm sure there is some good hunting here as well. Enjoy! Let me know what you all think or what you may know about the jewelry tag.

Wow, I would be spending some time there, Awesome stuff. Found this about the Dodge Brothers Thingie...West Virginia Dodge Dealers

Dodge, originally known as the 'Dodge Brothers Company,' was founded by brothers Horace and John Dodge in 1900. They produced engine and chassis components for Detroit-based auto makers before branching out into building entire vehicles. In 1928 the company was acquired by Chrysler Corporation. pretty awesome finds

Yeah he has lots of land and still lots more to hunt. It's a really neat place and I can't wait to go back. The dodge brothers piece I believe is off a 30s dodge...off the grill.

I'm new to the hobby as well and have to be honest. I am JEALOUS as HECK to see your finds!! LOL Not only two silver coins but two silver coins from the 1800s. That is an amazing weekend of hunting. Charleston I have been told by quite a number of experienced MDers is their single favorite place to metal detect both for old coins, slave items and CW relics. So you're in a great place. On your next trip to visit the relatives in WV feel free to stop by and pick me up.

Yeah , your getting the good stuff there - keep doing more of what you're doing !!!

Nice finds congrats i'm 20 miles up the road from ansted
