Been all over two counties, hit a few sites that were good in the past, but nothing happening now. Tried two new parks, the first was being renovated and I thought the disturbed dirt might hold something. No dice, and after I dug a zinclon at 8 inches in the grassy area, I was done with that. Messed around and headed by another park I had been to before and wanted to get back when it had some rain. The whole park was busy with a flea market. Headed to the house and checked another park on the way home. It too needs a good rain. IHC was a 1890, the War Nic is a '42S and the holed wheat is a '17. The wheat and most of the relics came from a foundation in the woods. Not sure about the round thing with the rectangle on the back. It appears to be lead, with a 'Jacket" on some other metal. Small silver ring was pulled from a vacant lot. Clip/clamp is marked CR Harris Pat. (two dates one appears to be a '85 date, the other a '91). Along wth the war nic and the IHC I pulled the '32 Canadian cent at a site this morning. 062314 022.jpg062314 023.jpg062314 024.jpg062314 025.jpg062314 027.jpg062314 028.jpg062314 029.jpg062314 030.jpg062314 031.jpg062314 032.jpg062314 033.jpg062314 034.jpg

Oh, and the other thing I got at the site in the woods was a good case of turkey ticks. I knew that was a bad idea. Hydrocortisone only helps so much.

Very nice batch of finds. Sounds like you made a full day of it and it paid off with some good items.

very nice finds, the ring is silver? this is the time for the seed ticks or hatchlings and they can make you miserable for sure

Yep, its silver. Didn't see it marked, but I'm sure it is. Yes, seed ticks, turkey ticks, turkey mites and several other names all for the same critter. I get them at least once a year, and they itch for a week or more. Vinegar seems to help a lot though.
