weekend cellar holes* 5 coppers * early militia button

had a great weekend hunt many different cellar holes. draped bust LC,a fully silver gilted one piece militia button,2 fugio's, 1 CT copper & a braided hair LC. hope everyone has a great week!

Nice!!! A two fugio day. Can't remember ever seeing a 2 fugio day before. And a couple LCs and a Connecticut as well.... and the buttons too. Excellent day is an understatement. Awesome day!!!

thanks dude! the militia button is circa 1820-30 I believe.and the draped bust is pretty toasted in the date area but looks like 1803?

Can't pinpoint the exact variety of your button. But it mirrors a "pewter" example, made in Conn, circa 1808. Yours is obviously a wonderful example, made in brass. They don't get much better than that! Still looking for my first Fugio. Someone may pipe in on the variety of that Conn. AWESOME! Hogge
