Week of July 4th Finds

Thought I would post a pic of my finds from the 4th. I had the week off from work and hit some tot lots and a 1940 era house place. Totals were 21 quarters, 12 dimes, 7 nickles, and 32 pennies. Some cheap jewelry- a grill(teeth), a heart charm, a knife, and a token. The biggest finds were two wheat cents-1949D and 1937D. I can find the wheaties but the silver is elusive. I also have a hard time with finding gold any tips. Thanks for looking and HH.

All I can say is that I can relate to difficulties finding gold. The silver comes a plenty, but gold...not so much!

You find a lot more silver than gold. If you're getting nickels, the gold will come. Some of it comes in the foil or lower ranges. Silver rings out in the dime and Quarter ranges. Keep looking and you will find.
