Today trip was second time outing with the new Nokta Legend with stock coil. However, she could not pinpoint that well today. So good thing had the Nokta Simplex with sp24 coil on deck. Now don't get me wrong. I love them both. However there is A backorder on the lg 24 coil that I ordered. However everyone is out for now. But can't wait to put the lg24 coil to work. Like said it was A Simplex day with man a coin spill in a area with sp24 coil. That sp24 is A killer! Total was 1998 quarter, 1999 quater, 2005 quarter, (2) 2007 nickels, 1978 penny and 1982 penny.

Good start. I’m guessing that you are new to detecting from your Greenie status. At least you are finding some coins and that is a good start. The more you detect the better you know your machine and the better your results will be.

I have been detecting for 21 years and my first few i did a lot of learning. Also a hint that might be helpful. I DO NOT use the pinpoint feature on the machine. I wave the coil left and right listening for the strongest response. Then move the coil at a right angle to that line listening for the best response and where they intersect is where I dig. If the signal is strong and I think it is a shallow target I will use a hand pinpointer and dig with a trowel. If I think it is deeper. I dig with my narrow shovel.
