Early this afternoon the president of our local metal detecting club called to tell me that he was contacted by someone who lived near me that lost a wedding band. It was a plain 14k band but very sentimental. The property was not far from me or the president so we met there within the hour. The homeowner explained he had hung Christmas lights on his hedges two days before Christmas and a few hours later realized his ring was gone. I put a 4" coil on a Shadow X2 and started poking it in and out of the shrubs. After a few stabs I got a repeatable signal. I peeked under the bush and saw some landscaping stones. The ring was down in the stones just out of sight. No doubt, the reason the owner missed it when doing occasional visual searches. He had taken the lights down yesterday which renewed his motivation to find it except this time his wife turned to the internet for help and found our club. Lucky for us (and him) the landscape edging was made out of a poly material rather than metal!

Good job! Glad I was there to witness the delight on the owners face when you said "got it!"

Nice job on taking the time and finding the ring. Honorable mention.

Great Job!!! Congrats!!!

Thanks GarrenπŸ‘

A deed well done! :occasion14:

As bad as me[emoji23] using a Shadow X2 and wearing a Garrett AT series hat. Least you’re different than Aquachigger, and NuggetNoggin, you’re not brand specific. When I owned multiple I didn’t care what I wore, it was whatever I had to throw on to head out

Good job! :occasion14: HM I say!
