I recently got back into detecting after 30 years. I remember pulling beautiful V Nickels, Mercs, a few Morgan’s & Peace Dollars at least every other hunt. I had rolls of Wheats. I picked a local park that I’ve never been to. It looked old, near abandoned. It has solid Steel playground equipment. There was about $3 in modern change mixed with 70’s style pull tabs, bummer.

1 old silver, and this is it.

I think it’s a 1917, I think I see a 7 under her boot. Or a 2…who knows.

There was 0.62 Musket ball a few hundred feet from this find :)

Its a type 2, if it is 1917. The stars are visible under the Eagle.

Nice find -- but given the amount of wear on the coin, there is no way any of the date will be visible. It's been my experience with SLQs that even the depressed date coins (1925 - 30) will not show any of the date if the coin is in AG condition.
