a repeat foray in the foreboding forest. with the headphone volume at max to hear any hint of a hit, it can be a challenge to hear if a tree falls in the forest. caution is a top priority to avoid the copious loafs of fudge from the not so coy-otes & the bruins of the badlands. note my play on words---- much safer than old habits of playing with fire, running with scissors and wading through nuclear wastewater. after 2 hours of nary a target-- yea even the shotgun brass was scarce--- not a peep from the ATPro as I scanned the babbling brook and scoured the "brassy knoll" amidst the old growth, new growth and even the no more growth deadfalls. with tail between my legs (remember the nuclear waste thing)--- I head back to the car. approaching the trailhead I give a quick sweep of a rather clear 10 square feet of forrestrial terrain just off the trail---- AND___ LORDY--- the ATPro nearly leaps from my grip with a clean 82-84. thinkin' silburr dime or a coveted Twenty Center I proceed to exhume this old lady from her resting place beneath 5 inches of rock, root & topsoil.
YUPPPPPP________ there was a hole in the hole------ a whole holed 1795 Liberty Cap Lettered edge Largie ( my oldest Treasury issue one cent)
---- and that's the name of that tune---- I am now down the road outa there
