We went on this hike for 22 mile round trip on the Kalalau Trail, Island of Kauai

It was part of a backpacking trip back in /92, and I still see the trail is being hiked today, but with more casualties raked up on the score card.

The part in the video going along the crawler ledge is not for the faint of heart. At this point one is around 150ft above the water. Though the 11 mile trail it will go from 0-nearly 1000ft basically nothing is flat.

The Mrs still remembers that part quite well.
Would you hike it yourself?
Just remember lean to the left going in, lean to the left going out. :laughing7:

And you all are carrying heavy backpacks that would throw your balance off.
We carried potatoes all the way in thinking that we'd have some pann fries, baked.
Got back and they were still in the backpacks.🤣
Just remember to lean in towards the bluff.

dang, i just got to wondering how one could swing their detector along that trail.....must be some dropped rings in there :laughing7:
A smart entrepreneur would open a kiosk selling replacement underwear to the hikers.😂

Nopest nope in all nopeland!! Grand canyon was almost more than I could handle.

22 mile round trip? Oh hell no...

Day 1: I'd start off with a full pack, go one mile then set up camp. Throw a steak and a baker on the BBQ, smoke a bowl, enjoy the night sky then get a good nights sleep.

Day 2: Pack up camp (leave nothing behind) and work up a good sweat while hiking the one mile back to the trailhead.

When people in the parking lot ask you how the trail was to the top.....LIE.
