Listed as Volume 1 of 5, but, only volume 1 was issued. Karl von Mueller claimed many stories are new to the treasure hunting community. At the end of almost every story, there are references listed. About 15 — 16 of the stories are slightly expanded versions of treasure leads found in the Treasure Hunter’s Manual, 6th Edition (THM #6).

8 leads each in CO & NM
5 leads in CA
4 leads in NE
3 leads each in AZ, IN, TX, WI, & USA (various states)
2 leads each in KS & MO
1 lead each in FL, ID, LA, MN, MS, MT, NC, NV, NJ/NY, NY, RI, SD, TN, UT, WA, & WY

Probably at least $50 in very good or better condition.

Many of the plants have been recovered by now. But it's still a very useful reference work if one uses it as a blueprint.

KvonM never told a story without a reason.

Good luck to all,

I went through the entire book and would say 50% of the books have little to do with treasure and are just for historical background in a particular area. Some books are fiction. If you don't plan on treasure hunting outside the USA, well that takes away about 10% of the books. And if you don't plan on spending millions to be a maritime treasure hunter, then you can forget another 20% of these books. Many of the books remaining are all the ones we already know about. I would say there are maybe 20 books in this book which are NOT treasure hunting books but have a few pages on some lost treasure story and they are the real gems. But it would be better just to borrow this book from a library than to buy it. If its not in your library, use the "intra-library loan" program and your library will get in a few weeks.

Howdy, Steve -

What book are you referring to in your first sentence? Does that book list the others you discuss?

Good luck to all,
