I have seen a few with this symbol posted before on this forum.
Those were mostly smaller versions, this is a full size lock, heavy and bronze.
No name but there is a number 1 on the shackle which could mean manufactured in 1891, 1901 or 1911...or not.

Research found this same one with a cool key...

and a forum member posted this page out of a collector's book of an old catalogue page with a similar one with the same vintage handcuff type shackel marked US that uses the same key and supposedly tracks back to 100-110 years ago...or more.

Is this a 100+ year old lock in such great shape?
Hope so...more research to do.

I will tumble it and make it look great and it will be a fine addition to my collection.

Since it has the Keystone logo, maybe it is from Pennsylvania.

It definitely did.
Several iconic lock companies started in the 1800's and many were centered around Lancaster because they had foundries there that could do this sort of thing.
Slaymaker was another one.

This company started as the Keystone Lock Works in 1879, eventually became the E T Fraim lock company, bought Slaymaker, sold Slaymaker and both companies got folded into others over the years after.
The remnants of this original company made their last locks in the 50's.

Beautiful lock
