I have seen a few with this symbol posted before on this forum.
Those were mostly smaller versions, this is a full size lock, heavy and bronze.
No name but there is a number 1 on the shackle which could mean manufactured in 1891, 1901 or 1911...or not.
Research found this same one with a cool key...
and a forum member posted this page out of a collector's book of an old catalogue page with a similar one with the same vintage handcuff type shackel marked US that uses the same key and supposedly tracks back to 100-110 years ago...or more.
Is this a 100+ year old lock in such great shape?
Hope so...more research to do.
I will tumble it and make it look great and it will be a fine addition to my collection.
